After much prayer and support from her family, Julia McKinnis trusted in the Lord and stepped out on faith. Using her many years of experience working as an RN and administrator in the home care field, she opened Angel Wings Home Care in 2007. As a locally owned and family operated home care agency we take pride in providing compassionate care for you and your loved ones.

As a breast cancer survivor, Julia knows just how important prayer and compassionate care truly are in recovering from or, dealing with a debilitating illness.

She has surrounded herself with a Christian staff that believes in the same philosophy as she does. Her philosophy is, and always will be, that Angel Wings Home Care will be the very best home care agency in the business, not the biggest.

Born May 14, 1916 in Guilford County, NC. The family moved to Danville when she was 3 years of age. She worked at Dan River Mills during her earlier years. She married and stayed home to raise a son and three daughters. She is a kind loving mother who instilled good values in her children. She lived through the great depression and remembers the shortage and rationing of essential foods and supplies during World War II. She has lived through many hardships and seen many changes in the world. She has blessed many people always keeping God first in her life. She misses being able to spend time outside in the yard gardening but does enjoy watching TV. She loves spending time with family and seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
